After Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Hue City has not only recorded impressive growth figures in its tourism sector but more importantly, a new approach is gradually taking shape: development rooted in cultural identity, organized with modern thinking, and placing the community at the center.

On the morning of March 7, Hue City Youth Center officially held the opening ceremony of the 2nd Expanded Traditional Martial Arts Championship for Children and Youth in Hue City - 2026.

The petanque competition of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival officially opened on the morning of March 7th at Hue City Sports Center. Notably, the tournament features the participation of many athletes aged 70 and above.

On March 6th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, together with representatives of several relevant departments and agencies, held a working session and inspected the progress of investment and construction of boarding inter-level schools (primary and lower secondary) in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes.

For Hue, the Year of the Horse not only opens a new cycle of time, but also marks the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, a starting point for a five-year journey carrying a great aspiration: Hue accelerates rapidly yet sustainably, with a profound sense of identity.

With the aim of spreading awareness about responsible tourism for a sustainable green Hue, the Department of Tourism has collaborated with the project “Hue - Plastic Smart City in Central Vietnam”/WWF-Vietnam to launch the “Check-in green Hue” contest - Visit Hue, receive gifts, and win a Canon R50!

On the morning of March 6, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Institution for Strategy and Policy Studies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized a workshop to solicit feedback from central and local departments, agencies, experts, and businesses. The consultation was held to complete the Project on Industrial Development of Hue City for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision toward 2045.

On the afternoon of March 5th, Hue City People's Committee held its regular press conference for February 2026. The event was chaired by Chief of the Office of the City People’s Committee Hoang Viet Cuong; Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Tran Cong Thich Vuong; and Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Huy Hien. ​

On the afternoon of March 5th, a working delegation from the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, visited and held a working session at Carlsberg Vietnam in Phu Bai. Joining the delegation were Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; member of the Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong; along with leaders of several relevant city departments and agencies.

On the morning of March 5, Hue City held the 2026 military enlistment and handover ceremony at 5 locations across the city. Despite drizzle and unfavorable weather conditions, the events were conducted solemnly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations, thanks to thorough preparation, ensuring absolute safety. All young men who had been called up for military service and service in the force of the City People’s Public Security enthusiastically set out to fulfill their sacred duty of defending the Fatherland.

From the bus’s upper floor, tourists were easy to contemplate Hue City at night and take photos as they passed by Dong Ba Market, Phu Van Lau, Hue Railway Station, or enjoy the beauty of a poetic Hue City illuminated by the lights from Truong Tien Bridge and the lights reflecting from the Perfume River, etc.
