Hue Festival 2022, with the highlight of Hue Festival Week themed "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development" taking place from June 25 to June 30, is an event in the first rank among 10 typical events in 2022 in the industry of culture, sports and tourism.

In Hue culture, the Champa cultural heritage is considered a deep sedimentary layer, a component of major significance that contributes to the identity of Hue culture.

People are getting impatient because the heritage is gradually fading. To them Gia Hoi is a "gold mine" of Hue in terms of tourism.

In the gala program “Khúc giao mùa” held to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, Viet Bao, an ao dai artisan and designer, has introduced a collection named “Tram Tich Xu Tho” (the “Sediments of the Poetic Land”) at Duyet Thi Duong Theater inside the Imperial Citadel.

A total of 11 sculpture sketches by 9 famous sculptors in the country were selected for display and public feedback, following a two-year campaign initiated by the Hue Cultural Heritage Research and Development Association.

Just a stone’s throw from the Citadel, the Gia Hoi old quarter used to be one of the busiest areas of Hue ancient capital in early 19th century. This invaluable heritage is being ruined day by day with time while how to conserve and promote it is still a big question.

The system of automatic voice-over on relics and galleries of the Provincial Ho Chi Minh Museum, together with various souvenirs and gifts were introduced and launched on the afternoon of November 22 on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

Accordingly, with the theme "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development", Hue Festival 2023 will be held with successive activities throughout the year, starting with the Opening ceremony for the Festival, the Ban Sóc Calendar Issue Ceremony on January 1st, 2023 and ends with the Countdown Program on December 31, 2023.

At the book fair, the University of Sciences in collaboration with the Vietnam Book Culture and Knowledge Joint Stock Company introduced more than 2,000 books, espeically fine book titles about Hue and cultural heritage, along with books and documents of different types and genres for study and research purposes.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has approved of the decree on the establishment of Hue Heritage Conservation Fund and on the operation regulation. That is not only good news for Hue heritage but also for those who are interested in preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values of Hue Ancient Capital.
