At the book fair, the University of Sciences in collaboration with the Vietnam Book Culture and Knowledge Joint Stock Company introduced more than 2,000 books, espeically fine book titles about Hue and cultural heritage, along with books and documents of different types and genres for study and research purposes.

Connecting and searching for cultural heritage documents in France

“We will propose to the provincial authorities to consider and coordinate with the French Embassy to Vietnam to agree on a draft of cooperation agreement with the French School of the Far East (EFEO) to exchange and cooperate in data searching and managing, establishing an electronic database and data on heritage digitization, that add more sources of original documents to Hue heritage,” shared Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) after returning from his business trip to France.

The Decree clearly states that the Hue Heritage Conservation Fund is a national fund established by the Government and assigned to Thua Thien - Hue province to directly manage, in order to mobilize resources to invest in the restoration, conservation, and development of Hue heritage value and investment in works and items that have not been funded by the state budget or allocated insufficient funds.
