On the morning of March 10th, Hue Youth Union and Hue City Young Pioneers Council organized the 2026 “Healthy Children - Advancing to the Youth Union” Festival at Tran Quoc Toan Primary School in Phu Xuan Ward.

Along the coastal regions of Central Vietnam, especially in the city of Hue, seahorses are not only a supplementary source of income for many fishermen but also an indicator of a healthy marine ecosystem. As seahorse populations continue to decline, reproductive research models and collaborations between fishermen and scientific institutions are opening up new hope: preserving this unique species for future generations.

On the morning of November 24, Vietnam Women’s Union, in coordination with the Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control Fund and Hue City Women’s Union, organized a launching ceremony for the 2025 campaign promoting the role of families in preventing and controlling the harmful effects of tobacco, along with a training session on building “Healthy, Smoke-Free Families".

After many years of sustaining their lives through regular blood transfusions, many pediatric patients suffering from congenital hemolytic anemia (Thalassemia) have now found the “light at the end of the tunnel” thanks to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Hue Central Hospital. From these successful transplant cases, a door of hope has opened, bringing the children a healthy, normal life and complete joy after so many difficult days.

In Thanh Thuy Ward, I met Minh, a 10-year-old boy in a Taekwondo uniform. Three years ago, he was a shy child, often sick and reluctant to communicate. But in the summer of 2024, his mother enrolled him in a nearby Taekwondo class. After just three summer months, Minh not only became healthier but also gained the confidence to give presentations in front of his class - something he had never dared to do before.

On the morning of June 10, the Ministry of Education and Training held a seminar to gather feedback on the draft proposal for the project “Organizing the 11th National Phu Dong Healthy Festival in 2028 in Hue City”.

That was the theme of a talk hosted by Dr. Mai Hang, a natural nutritionist, at Silent Space (32 Tay Son, Hue City) on November 23rd. The event was part of the “Lunch and Learn - Learn, Have lunch, and Connect together” program.

On October 30, the Provincial Center for Youth Activities organized a handover ceremony for the small-scale project “Improving Educational Environment to Support the Healthy Development of Children and Youth in Thua Thien Hue Province”.

As an indispensable ingredient for creating cool, healthy drinks, probiotics such as kefir grains and scoby have recently gained more attention, especially during the hot summer weather.

Everyone wishes for their child to be born healthy and adorable like any other child. However, there are still unfortunate cases of congenital defects. And then, the "angelic" hands, as if by magic, bring back smiles to the faces of these children, for their families, and for society as a whole.
