Co Ha - the famous royal garden of Hue’s Imperial Capital during the Nguyen Dynasty, has almost lost its architectural traces through time and historical events. However, thanks to the collection, digitization, and analysis of archival photos, an intact Co Ha is being revealed, truly embodying the meaning of “class”.

For Hue and Hue people the Thanh tra tree has been named for hundreds of years now. Over time, this speciality fruit tree is gradually degenerating and becomes weakened. Dr. La Thi Thu Hang, an expert on agriculture at University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, has succeeded in introducing “high-tech” Thanh tra trees to many gardeners in Hue.

On September 29, the Hue Garden house Management and Protection Board, belonging to Hue People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of the garden house located at No.3 Pham Thi Lien St., Kim Long ward, Hue City.

An electric vehicle powered by solar energy, designed and manufactured by students from the College of Hue, was handed over to Hue Monuments Conservation Center. The handover ceremony took place on the morning of August 7 at Co Ha Garden, Hue Imperial Citadel.

In Hue's traditional gardens, jackfruit trees are often present as an obvious thing. Not simply a fruit tree, jackfruit is present in Hue's cultural life from cuisine, folk literature, fine arts, architecture to philosophy and religion.

As part of the summer festival program “Shining Citadel,” Hue Festival Organizing Committee hosts the “Three regions ornamental plants and orchids exhibition 2024” at Co Ha Garden, Royal Palace - Hue Imperial Citadel. The exhibition opened on the morning of June 21.

In celebration of Hue Festival 2024, on June 8th, Hue artists and Hue lovers will gather at Kim Long Orchard to display paintings under the theme "A Stroll Through the Hue Garden." This stroll will be adorned with 39 paintings by 7 artists, depicting steps through multicolored gardens, with stories that resonate with the hues of the sun and wind in the green garden, and the intimate conversations of leaves and flowers in the Hue gardens, both tranquil and lively...

“I study garden houses as a connection between Vietnamese art and culture and a deep connection with the land and spirit of Hue. Hidden cultural features still thrive in the values and identity of Hue today,” said Professor and Landscape Architect Kimberlee Stryker (University of California, Berkeley) in her “Listening to the Gardens of Hue, Vietnam” 25 years ago.

Nguyen Huu Thong, researcher, former Deputy Director of Hue Sub-Institute of Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, made such assessment of the story of Hue garden houses during a seminar held on April 21st at An Nhien Garden space (Phu Thuong Ward, Hue City).
