According to statistics from the Department of Tourism released on the morning of March 1, the number of tourists to Hue in the first two months continued to rise sharply, estimated at over 1.2 million arrivals, while the number of visitors to the city in February, 2026 alone witnessed an increase of nearly 72%. Especially, the total revenue from tourism rose significantly compared to the previous year.

From the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 17), the spring travel atmosphere in Hue has been vibrant and festive. Visitors from across Vietnam, along with international tourists, have chosen the former imperial capital as their holiday destination, creating a lively tourism scene on the very first day of the New Year.

On the morning of September 4th, the Department of Tourism announced statistics on visitor arrivals to Hue in the first eight months of 2025. Notably, France topped the international tourist market to Hue with nearly 64.200 tourists during the period, accounting for 13,5% of the city’s international tourist arrivals.

On July 27, the Tourism Department announced that the number of tourists visiting Hue in the first 7 months of 2025 exceeded 4 million arrivals, significantly higher than that of 2024, which reached 3,9 million arrivals.

On the morning of January 9, the Department of Tourism in collaboration with Chan May Port Joint Stock Company and Saigontourist Travel Services Co., Ltd held a program of welcoming the first cruise ship and tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025.

The first tourists arriving in Hue stepped off at Phu Bai International Airport with radiant smiles with the welcoming gestures from the local tourism industry, signaling positive signs for the smoke-free industry in the ancient capital.

Reaching Hue to perform for the first time on the occasion of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, the Belgian Namur stilt art troupe received enthusiastic cheer and welcome from tourists and locals. On every route the stilt troupe passed, at the intersection where the stilt troupe stopped, the stream of crowded people admired the talented performances both thrilling and humorous by the artists

According to the Department of Tourism, in the first 3 months of 2023 (Quarter 1), the estimated number of international tourists visiting Hue is over 255 thousand, a 55-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
