On June 25, Vice Chairmen of Hue City People’s Committee, including Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, and Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, conducted field inspections and working sessions with local authorities regarding preparations and operation of the two-level local government model. Leaders from relevant departments and sectors also attended the working sessions.

On the afternoon of June 24, Hue Central Hospital announced the successful performance of a hip and femur replacement surgery using a Megaprosthesis. This advanced technique preserves the limb for patients in the field of orthopedic trauma surgery.

The communal house faces a field, so in this season of the year it’s pervaded by the aroma of ripe rice. I’m standing at the gate of the Van Xa communal house (Huong Van Ward, Huong Tra Town) beholding the yellow paddy field admiring our ancestors who chose this place for the house. Twice a year, the ancient communal house reflects itself on the field, forming a very beautiful rustic sight.

On the afternoon of June 11th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, met and held a working session with Mr. Kobayashi Yosuke, the newly appointed Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam.

On June 10th, the University of Law, Hue University held their graduation ceremony and awarded official bachelor's degrees (cohort 45) to 843 new graduates in the fields of Law and Economic Law.

On the morning of June 6th, a signing ceremony took place between the Department of Construction of Hue City and the Public Works Bureau of Osaka City, Japan, to formalize a discussion minute on technical cooperation in the field of drainage and wastewater treatment. Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.

On the 10-acre field of red chiem rice (a traditional red rice grown in brackish lowlands of Hue City, sown by April and harvested by July), each planting season requires 40 to 50 hired laborers, and the harvest stretches over several days. Left untended and unfertilized, the rice grows naturally under the generous sun and rain. Some call it “heaven’s rice” — a variety grown from the grace of Tam Giang’s waters.

On May 22nd, during his working visit to Vietnam, Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, Lazare Eloundou Assomo, toured several heritage sites in Hue including the Imperial Citadel, the Museum of Royal Antiquities, and An Dinh Palace to conduct a field survey and learn about the management, conservation and promotion of World Cultural Heritage values ​​in the locality.
