Strengthening friendly cooperation with Thailand in many fields

HNN.VN - On the morning of August 15, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong received the Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, H.E. Nikorndej Balankura, on the occasion of his working visit to Hue.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in various fields

At the meeting, Mr. Le Truong Luu expressed his joy when the Ambassador visited and worked in Thua Thien Hue Province. He affirmed that the northeastern provinces of Thailand and Thua Thien Hue Province share many similarities in terms of economy and culture, as their locations are on the same East-West economic corridor.

This is the potential as well as the advantage for the two sides to strengthen their friendly cooperation in many fields, especially the development of trade, education, tourism and services.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished that the Ambassador would continue to act as a bridge supporting and facilitating Thua Thien Hue Province in enhancing cooperation in the fields of investment, trade and tourism between the province and the localities of Thailand, in which, promoting the reopening of direct flights and connecting hubs of Thailand to Thua Thien Hue Province in order to increase the number of visitors from Thailand to the province; attracting and transiting foreign visitors in Thailand to the central region of Vietnam, including Thua Thien Hue.

Secretary Le Truong Luu also wished to continue maintaining and further tightening the existing cooperation relationship in the field of education with Thai partners; facilitating the exchange of students and lecturers; sending students from Thua Thien Hue to Thai educational institutions to be on probation and to study in order to improve training quality and management skills.

H.E. Nikorndej Balankura thanked the provincial leaders for the respectful welcome and affirmed that many Thai provinces had had strong relations and cooperation with Thua Thien Hue Province over the previous time. As a result, the two sides have enhanced exchanges and cooperation in many fields; an increasing number of visitors from Hue have been visiting to Thailand and vice versa.

The Ambassador hoped that Thua Thien Hue Province would continue to create all favorable conditions for Thai enterprises to have the opportunities to continue to explore and invest in the province as well as strengthen the relationship in cultural exchange between the two sides in the coming time.
