The fourth Hue Sports Festival, a community sports festival promoting health, will feature a number of exciting new events.

On the morning of May 17th, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the 6th Expanded Skills Festival for clubs, teams, and groups in Hue City in 2026 at the Quoc Hoc Stele Square in Thuan Hoa Ward.

“Vai nom tren cat” (Fish Trap Baskets on the Sand) or “Vai chai tren cat” (Fishing Nets on the Sand) is one of the activities staged by residents of Thuan An from the familiar movements of traditional fishing work. During every festival season in this coastal area, “Vai nom tren cat” becomes a vibrant source of spiritual and cultural enjoyment for local people and visitors alike.

Following a vibrant April filled with diverse artistic activities, the Summer Festival - Hue Festival 2026 continues with a series of attractive cultural and tourism events throughout May and June, promising new experiences for both residents and visitors.

On the morning of March 30, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Bui Thanh Dung said that several adjustments will be introduced to the race stages in Hue as part of this year’s Ho Chi Minh City Television National Cycling Cup. In response to the series of activities within the framework of the Autumn Festival themed “Hue in Autumn” of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the People’s Committee of Phu Xuan Ward, is preparing a variety of exciting programs for locals and visitors. Among them, the most anticipated highlight is the Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Festival, Hue Unicorn dance performances, and the Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade through the streets in 2025.

The 36th Hue City traditional boat racing - 2025 kicked off on the morning of September 2 on the North bank of the Huong River, about 300 meters from Nghinh Luong Dinh Pavilion towards Da Vien Bridge. The event was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and it also served as a competitive sport for the 10th Hue City Sports Festival - 2026.

On June 2nd, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City announced that the 2025 Community Ao Dai Week will take place from June 6th to 15th, kicked off with a special art program titled “Hue Ao dai” at An Dinh Palace on the evening of June 6th.
