Exciting boat racing on the Bo River
HNN.VN - On the morning of March 10, a traditional boat racing took place on a section of the Bo River passing through the Van Cu - Nam Thanh Residential Area (Kim Tra Ward). This is one of the key highlights in the series of activities of the Ba Bun Worship Ceremony, held over two days from March 9 to 10.

The boat racing gathered over 100 male and female rowers from 6 local teams. They competed in 10 race categories, including 1 Cung race, 1 Thai Binh race, and 8 Tien races, 3 of which featured female rowers.
After a competition filled in a united, lively and exciting atmosphere, the overall First prize went to team 4; the Men’s Triple Victory prize was awarded to Team 1, while the Men and Women’s Triple Victory prize went to Team 4.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Chairman of the Van Cu Rice Noodle Craft Association, shared that within the framework of this year’s Ba Bun Worship Ceremony, the traditional boat racing not only provides a healthy sporting playground, but also enriches the local cultural and festival activities. It is also an opportunity for residents and racing teams to meet, strengthen solidarity, and work together to preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values of Kim Tra in general, and Van Cu - Nam Thanh in particular.
