It is no longer uncommon to witness very young runners at marathon events held in Hue. It helps to spread the spirit of sportsmanship and community compassion.

On the morning of January 18th, Hue Poetry Association organized a program to review the Association’s activities in 2025 and to launch the poetry collection “Returning to the Land of Huong Ngu”. This was an opportunity to reflect on the previous year's events while also presenting to the public a brand-new poetry anthology, the product of the Association's numerous lively creative and poetic exchange activities.

Thirteen years after Hue first hosted the National Tourism Year, the event returned to the city for the second time in 2025, opening a gateway to new opportunities. The Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament at the 10th City Sports Games (2025-2026) kicked off on the morning of December 26 at the City Library (No.29A Le Quy Don Street). This marks the 9th and 10th events of the Games, following boat racing, karate, taekwondo, shuttlecock kicking, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and vovinam.

On the afternoon of December 18, Hue wrestling shone brightly after securing a hat-trick of 3 gold medals in the women’s freestyle events, marking a remarkable feat not only at the SEA Games arena.

On the morning of December 1st, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) presented Certificates of Merit to the following schools: Gia Hoi High School, Huong Vinh High School, Dang Tran Con High School, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, Phu Binh Primary School, and Ngo Kha Primary School, for effectively carrying out flood prevention and post-flood recovery efforts during the recent flooding events.

Recent floods and extreme weather events have severely affected the tourism industry. As a key economic sector, tourism must shift its mindset from passive response to proactive adaptation to enhance resilience against climate change.

The Karate and Taekwondo competitions of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival (2025-2026) officially opened on the morning of October 24th at the Multi-purpose Gymnasium of the Faculty of Physical Education - Hue University. These are the third and fourth events (following boat racing and pétanque) among a total of 18 sports featured in the festival.

On the morning of September 4, the opening ceremonies of three major international events, including the 19th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC), Export Conference 2025, and the event “Connecting International Goods Supply Chain” officially took place at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). Hue participated in the event with the joint stall of three localities Quang Tri - Hue - Danang.

The Management Board of Dong Ba Market organized a review and award ceremony for the contest “Exploring the History of the Formation and Development of Dong Ba Market (1899 - 2024)”. This was one of many meaningful activities in the series of events commemorating the 126th anniversary of the formation and development of Dong Ba Market (August 23rd, 1899 - August 23rd, 2025).
