On January 10th, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) announced the start of PPC’s 2-month opinion consultation about models of the establishment of the coming centrally-governed city.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has approved of the decree on the establishment of Hue Heritage Conservation Fund and on the operation regulation. That is not only good news for Hue heritage but also for those who are interested in preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values of Hue Ancient Capital.

“We will propose to the provincial authorities to consider and coordinate with the French Embassy to Vietnam to agree on a draft of cooperation agreement with the French School of the Far East (EFEO) to exchange and cooperate in data searching and managing, establishing an electronic database and data on heritage digitization, that add more sources of original documents to Hue heritage,” shared Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) after returning from his business trip to France.

The Decree clearly states that the Hue Heritage Conservation Fund is a national fund established by the Government and assigned to Thua Thien - Hue province to directly manage, in order to mobilize resources to invest in the restoration, conservation, and development of Hue heritage value and investment in works and items that have not been funded by the state budget or allocated insufficient funds.

On the afternoon of September 9, the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hue announced the decision to establish and launch the Archive and Research Center of the academy located at campus 1 - Hong Duc Pagoda (109 Minh Mang, Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City).

Artist Phan Hai Bang, a co-founder of the art of Truc Chi, has been honored with the Lebadang Art Foundation Award. This is one of the awards established in accordance with the will of the late talented artist Le Ba Dang.

The Union of Arts and Literature Associations and Hue Children's House have just launched an art club called “Nhanh co non” or “the young palm leaves”, to foster children's art movement in Hue city.

On the morning of June 10, Hue Monuments Conservation Center celebrated its 40th anniversary of establishment (1982 - 2022). Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong; representatives of Central departments, Provincial Party Standing Committee, as well as international organizations and partners.

"Replicas of the Nguyen Dynasty’s Gold Seal" is an exhibition organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and opened on the afternoon of June 10 at Ngu Phung floor, Ngo Mon and Imperial Citadel, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the center.

The establishment of the Provincial Culinary Culture Association aims to preserve and honor the values of culinary culture ​​of Hue in particular and of Vietnam in general.
