From fabric scraps, eggshells and coconut shells, Nghia Collection creates handcrafted products rooted in Hue culture. This model of producing and selling recycled handicrafts won Third Prize in the final round of the 2026 ‘Women’s Entrepreneurship – The Digital Transformation Journey’ competition, organized by the Hue City Women’s Union.

“Hue’s business community needs to change its mindset, strengthen its ambition to advance, and deepen cooperation to achieve the stature expected of a centrally-governed municipality,” emphasized Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, at a gathering held to celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13th. The event was organized by Hue City Business Association on the afternoon of October 13th.

On the evening of October 10, Hue City Young Entrepreneurs Association held the 2026 Business Gala Dinner under the theme ‘Hue Entrepreneurs - Converging Identity, Connecting Prosperity’, in celebration of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13).

To help individuals and teams refine their ideas and projects for the semifinal round of the 2026 Hue City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Department of Science and Technology, in coordination with experts and the Competition’s advisory board, held a training conference on October 7 for organizations, individuals, and teams behind the 30 ideas and projects advancing to this year’s semifinal round.

On the evening of September 21, Hue City Young Entrepreneurs Association, in coordination with Kim Dong Park, and the Youth Union Chapter of the Faculty of Marketing and Commerce, University of Economics, Hue University, organized a Mid-Autumn Festival program themed ‘Enjoying Mid-Autumn Festival’ for children facing difficult circumstances in the city.

Amid rapid technological change, entrepreneurship education at universities needs to create an environment where students can develop creative thinking, problem-solving capacity, and the ability to apply knowledge in practice. This was also the focus of discussions among experts, managers, lecturers, and businesses at the workshop ‘Innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education’, organized by Hue University on the afternoon of September 18.

On September 17, Hue University launched a training course for lecturers on teaching innovation and entrepreneurship in 2026.

On the afternoon of September 15, the College of Hue, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology, held a forum titled ‘Students with innovation and entrepreneurship’.

On September 8th, Hue City Women’s Union organized the Final Round of the 2026 ‘Women Entrepreneurs - Digital Transformation Journey’ competition. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City.

Starting with traditional rice paper, 9X entrepreneur Tran Thi Thuy Ha, Director of VN Flex Import-Export Trading and Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (VN Flex), has applied technology, introduced new production methods, and developed a line of rice-based snacks. Her journey has made her the only representative from Hue to be named among 86 Outstanding Young Startup Entrepreneurs.
