On the afternoon of May 15, at the Hue City People’s Committee headquarters, a sponsorship signing ceremony took place between the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2025 and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), marking BIDV’s collaboration in key cultural and tourism events during the National Tourism Year in Hue.

With the determination of becoming one of the leading smart cities in Vietnam, Hue is making lots of progress in digital transformation, from developing its digital economy to raising the quality of life for its people, opening up many opportunities for sustainable development.

During her trip to Hue, Ms. Sandrine, a French tourist, and her group were amazed by how green the city was. With admiration, she asked: “What has enabled Hue to balance economic development with heritage and natural resource preservation?”

To spread the value of Hue Bookcase and reading culture within schools, Hue City Institute for Development Studies has organized activities to introduce Hue Bookcase in schools. Hue traditional music is a unique cultural heritage. From May 4 to 13, Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) is coordinating with the People's Committee of Hue City, Tourism Development Support Fund, Vietnam Airlines, and partners to organize a program introducing Vietnamese tourism, traditional craft villages, and cuisine, and connecting businesses on the occasion of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 in three European countries, including Italy, Switzerland, and France.

Therefore, in its development orientation, Hue City consistently focuses on creating an environment that fosters and promotes business growth,” shared Mr. Phan Quoc Son, Deputy Director of Hue City’s Department of Finance, with Hue Today Weekly.

Appearing during the revolutionary movement in 1940 in the South, the red flag with yellow star – a particularly sacred symbol of Vietnam– is closely associated with the Vietnamese People’s history of defence and preservation of national independence, as well as the renewal and development process, standing shoulder to shoulder with great powers across the five continents.

The academic exchange activities between the Faculty of Environment, University of Sciences, Hue University, and international students have created many meaningful experiences, spreading the spirit of sustainable development and cultural connection.
