On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd days of Tet (from January 22nd-24th), Hue Imperial Citadel will be bustling with numerous activities, including the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Ngo Mon Square.

As the COVID-19 pandemic is under control and travelling is more convenient, many families are able to gather together this year. Sticky rice, Dong leaves, mung beans, and meat are prepared for everyone to wrap banh chung, and being together in a cozy and beloved atmosphere on the last days of the year.

In just a few days, the first national-scale Yellow Apricot Festival will be held in Hue.

The program “Tet holiday in Hue” 2023 held by Hue City will take place in 4 days, from 7:00 on January 14 to 17:00 on January 17 (from December 23 to 26, the Lunar Year of Tiger) at Ngo Mon Square (area adjacent to Quang Duc Gate), on 23/8 street and Le Huan street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue city.

Finally, December - the last month of a lunar year, is coming. Tet holiday is so near. Amidst the wet rains, the beautiful colors of the flowers and fruits for worship seem to make the winter days less cold and warmer in the busy last days of the year.

In the old days, when most people suffering the life of deprivation and misery, the winter days attached to the boiling stoves of grandmothers and mothers. Up to now, when the life is better, the young people and many other families are keen on gathering around the hot hotpots, or spicy barbecues in the cold days in Hue.

In Hue, the Christmas season usually occurs on the coldest days of the year. While the cold is always accompanied by rain, the cold and wet of the rainy season in Hue just become more shimmering and fanciful, as the Christmas lights in the churches are brightly lit up in every corner of the city.

In response to the policy of planting 1 billion trees and celebrating Vietnam's Forestry Day (November 28th), in recent days, forestry units and forest owners have planted thousands of indigenous trees such as green ironwood, cycads, tarrietia javanica blume (huynh), golden oaks, etc. All these plants are able to adapt to climate change and prevent landslides very effectively.

In the early days of December, in Phong Chuong Commune, Phong Dien District, more than 100 local people have set out to grow indigenous forest to restore the environment in sandy area.
