The 4th Ancient Capital Congress of Cardiology

HNN.VN - Over two days (June 20 - 21), Hue City’s Cardiology Association, in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the City, Hue Central Hospital, and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Hospital, organized the 4th Ancient Capital Congress of Cardiology.

This Congress brought together leading national and international experts to share the latest advancements in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases and comorbidities in the digital era. The Congress attracted nearly 100 presenters, including 28 professors and associate professors, 16 doctors (Ph.D.), 31 Doctors Specialists level II and masters, along with young speakers and excellent medical students from 9 provinces and cities nationwide.

The highlight of this year's Ancient Capital Congress of Cardiology was its 24 in-depth scientific sessions, held concurrently in three auditoriums (Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, Truong Tien). These sessions covered prominent topics, including: diagnosis and treatment of heart failure; advanced coronary intervention; hypertension - diabetes - metabolic disorders; interventional and structural cardiology; heart rhythm disorders and physiological pacing; cardiovascular resuscitation - cardiovascular emergencies; and the application of artificial intelligence in cardiovascular research; debates on current issues like blood pressure targets in the elderly and the optimal timing for achieving heart failure treatment goals. Reputable pharmaceutical and medical device companies, including Merck, Biotronik, Menarini, and Mega We Care, also hosted satellite workshops.

This year's Congress also marked the first-ever to organize the German - Vietnamese Cardiology Association Symposium , bringing together experts from both countries to share practical experiences and the latest interventional techniques. Additionally, there was a competition session for managing real clinical cases. It also expanded its online presence, live-streaming the entire program via the Z-WAKA platform, enabling over 500 remote delegates to participate, ask questions directly, and receive CME certificates.

This Ancient Capital Congress of Cardiology continues to be a prestigious scientific event, contributing to the enhancement of professional knowledge and the dissemination of the latest recommendations from ESC 2024, ACC 2025, and AHA 2025. It also affirms Hue City's pioneering role in the development of cardiovascular medicine in the Central region and the nation as a whole.

It was organized by Hue Fine Arts Association. This is an annual tradition having become a familiar cultural activity for Hue art community as Tet and Spring arrive.
