Amid Truong Son mountains and forests, sounds of gongs have long been blending into Co Tu people’s life, becoming an indispensable cultural feature and a sacred symbol in the spiritual life of the people.

“Đế Đô Khảo cổ ký” (“Imperial Ancient Capital Archaeology Chronicles”) is a pioneering project combining heritage and technology, promising to open new horizons for cultural industries in Vietnam.

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.

The works from the contest for composing new lyrics to Hue folk tunes, paintings about Hue culture, and collections of folklore organized by the Department of Education and Training (DoET) have become valuable educational resources for implementing the local cultural education program for preschool children.

On the afternoon of December 18, a National Scientific Conference themed “Promoting the value of Hue traditional music in cultural and tourism development” took place at Saigon Morin Hotel. The conference was jointly organized by Thua Thien Hue Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations and relevant agencies.

On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
