On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 of Vietnamese people, on January 29th, a delegation from Sekong Province, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, paid a visit and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Hue City. The delegation was led by Comrade Bounlai Bouththi, Member of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Secretary of Sekong Provincial Party Committee.

According to the information announced by Hue Central Hospital on the morning of January 29, following a period of exchanges and discussions, it had organized the signing of an agreement on professional capacity transfer and medical cooperation with TTH Group, including TTH Ha Tinh General Hospital and TTH Quang Binh General Hospital, as well as Vinmec Healthcare System.

On January 27th, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, together with representatives of city departments and agencies, received and worked with a high-level delegation from Vientiane Capital (Laos). On the afternoon of January 23, immediately following the closing session of the 14th National Congress of Delegates of the Communist Party of Vietnam, an international press conference was held at the Congress Press Center to announce the results of the 14th Party Congress. The conference was chaired by General Secretary of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam.

As part of experiential education activities aligned with the national general education curriculum, on January 23, nearly 300 students from Hue University of Sciences High School for the Gifted visited the Museum of Nature in the Central Coastal Region (No. 5 Diem Phung Thi Street, Vy Da Ward) for study tours and hands-on learning experiences.

On the morning of January 21, Hue Central Hospital announced that on January 6, 2026, the hospital marked a significant milestone in Vietnamese medicine. For the first time, surgeons successfully performed a simultaneous surgery to remove two giant polycystic kidneys and perform a kidney transplant. This success not only opens up new hope for patients with end-stage renal failure, but also confirms the ability to master intensive organ transplantation techniques by Vietnamese medical teams.

This forest simulates the most typical and representative characteristics of the tropical rainforest ecosystem of the Central Coastal provinces and cities. Taking place from August 16 to 24 at 15 Le Loi, Hue City, the 28th Northern Central region fine arts exhibition organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in collaboration with the Union of Arts and Culture Associations of Thua Thien Hue is a great and meaningful activity of regional fine arts.
