The tourism sector of the Ancient Capital is set to focus on proper investment in wellness tourism, alongside its existing strengths in other tourism types.

According to the information released by the Department of Tourism on the afternoon of February 27, the promotional video for the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 with the theme “Hue - Ancient Capital - New Opportunities” has just been launched on the Fanpage of Hue City People’s Committee.

Sipping tea is a delicate beauty of people in the Ancient Capital City. Especially Hue people have long connected their tea drinking with the Huong river _ the soul of the region.

French architectural works are considered an integral part of the cultural and historical landscape of the Ancient Capital. This has also motivated young people from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences, Hue University to seek ways to contribute to preserving the image of ancient Hue.

During the journey to Hue at the beginning of the Year of Snake, many tourists consider the Hue Imperial Citadel as a must-visit destination. Despite the cold weather with occasional rain and sunshine, tourists still want to spend much time checking-in the Royal Citadel and immerse themselves into various activities to gain vivid feelings about the traditional Tet in the Ancient Capital.

Ancient chrysanthemums, a symbol frequently found in heritage structures, clothing, and jewelry of the Nguyen Dynasty, have left their traces but seem to have disappeared from Hue. Meanwhile, the appreciation for these flowers continues as a quiet passion among some "scholars of Ha Thanh".

Thanks to technology, many delicious dishes from Hue have transcended the borders of their homeland. The unique flavors of the ancient capital are now finding their way to the East and the West, driven by the rise of e-commerce and the entrepreneurial spirit.

The preservation of heritage values in this ancient quarter located east of the Hue Citadel, however, is facing many challenges and conflicts.
