Following severe floods, numerous relief convoys, volunteer groups, and meaningful gifts have been delivered directly to people in deeply flooded areas in Hue. These “golden hearts” have instilled faith and motivation, helping them stand firm against difficulties and rebuild a peaceful life during the Great National Solidarity Festival (November 18).

International cooperation programs in the health sector have brought practical benefits to Hue City, achieving “three goals with one action”: creating opportunities for medical staff to improve their skills; helping thousands of patients access advanced treatment techniques; and strengthening the reputation of medical institutions.

On the morning of November 14, Hue Central Hospital organized a meeting for the Diabetes Patient Club in response to World Diabetes Day. The program attracted nearly 250 patients and their families, bringing many practical activities to help them raise awareness about this increasingly prevalent disease.

On the afternoon of November 14th, at 119 Van Xuan, Hue City Red Cross, in coordination with Kim Long Ward People’s Committee and the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, distributed 100 relief packages to local residents heavily impacted by the recent floods. This is one of the activities under the emergency support program currently being implemented across the entire city.

On the morning of November 11th, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee held the 2nd City Party Committee meeting, term 17th, to review the performance over the first 10 months of 2025 and to set key directions and tasks for the remaining months of 2025; the meeting also considered draft working regulations and an Action Program to submit to the City Party Congress Executive Committee.

On October 21, the Luxembourg Project Management Board, in coordination with Maries Co., Ltd., organized an event to announce activities within the framework of Project VIE/039 “Initiative to enhance the capacity of women working in Bang grass (Lepironia articulata) handicraft, contributing to preserving the traditional craft and creating sustainable livelihoods in Phong Binh (now Phong Dinh Ward), Hue City”.

After three days of active and effective working, the 5th Organization of World Heritage Cities Asia-Pacific (OWHC-AP) Regional Conference officially concluded on October 16. The event brought together more than 50 delegates from 7 countries, including mayors, experts, and representatives of member cities in the region.

On the afternoon of October 14th, as part of sidelines activities of the 5th Regional Conference of the Organization of World Heritage Cities - Asia-Pacific Region (OWHC-AP), Hue City Department of Education and Training organized a World Heritage Quiz Competition in the form of a Rung Chuong Vang (“Ring the Golden Bell”) game for local high school students.

On October 11 and 12, the Cardiovascular Center - Hue Central Hospital organized a specialized workshop titled “Optimizing RF energy ablation in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias”. The event was part of a series of continuous medical education (CME) activities, aimed at enhancing professional capacity and standardizing cardiac electrophysiology skills for doctors both inside and outside the hospital.

October 11 is recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of the Girl Child, a day to honor the value and affirm the role of girls in families and society, while calling on communities to act for the safety, equality, and holistic development of girls worldwide. In Hue City, the health sector has organized many practical activities to help raise awareness and enhance the status of girls in modern life.
