Inside the Hue Royal Palace heritage site, at Duyet Thi Duong Theater (the theater for the king, royal family members, and mandarins to enjoy traditional royal operas) stands a space exhibiting hundreds of tuồng (traditional Vietnamese opera) masks, which get tourists to stop to explore.

What was initially planned as a 3-month journey by Dr. Hattori Tadashi in 2002 eventually extended to over 20 years, taking away much from him but bringing light to over 60,000 people in Vietnam. He didn't take any salary, even using his own pocket money to cover expenses for financially-struggling patients and to support some Vietnamese hospitals with ophthalmic medical equipment.

Phu Son Waste Treatment Plant (in Phu Son commune, Huong Thuy town) was invested in and built by EB Environmental Energy Ltd. Co. at a cost of roughly 1.7 trillion Vietnamese dong. The plant officially commence operations at the end of January 2024, playing an crucial role in effectively addressing the waste management issue and ensuring environmental hygiene in Thua Thien Hue province - a pressing concern for the community as landfills in Thuy Phuong have reached capacity, disrupting residents’ lives with foul odors emanating from overflowing landfills.

On the afternoon of March 14th, at the Provincial People's Committee office, Vietnam Airlines signed a sponsorship agreement with the Organization Board of Hue Festival 2024, officially becoming the primary carrier for the event, with a sponsorship amounting to 1.2 billion Vietnamese dong.

That Ms. Truong Thi Thanh Huong, a Vietnamese American of Hue origin, won the auction of the precious design dossier of Truong Tien Bridge and successfully brought it back to Hue once again reminds us of the hardships of the repatriation of antiquities.

Ao Dai has become a cultural symbol for Vietnamese women in general. For the women of Hue in particular, Ao Dai is a source of pride because Hue Ao Dai has been firmly established in the hearts of the people. For Ao Dai to flourish and be honored, the support and promotion by our sisters, by the members of the Women's Union throughout the province, are essential.

On the morning of March 9, the launching ceremony of the S-Race Thua Thien Hue running tournament for students, with the message "For the stature of Vietnamese", took place at the Noon Gate Square.

Beautiful custard apple varieties from Thailand, Taiwan, and even our own Vietnamese sugar apples grown and cared for by Mr. Nguyen Quang My, the owner of Quang My Garden, will be supplied to the market in Hue during this Lunar New Year. These are the "sweet fruits" after 2 years of Mr. My's hard work in transforming the land of Huong Tra hills to grow fruit trees for commercial purposes.

On the morning of February 17th, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Principal of Phu Loc Town Secondary School (Phu Loc District), announced that the century-old tropical almond tree in the schoolyard has been recognized by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree.
