May 16, 2025 saw a range of activities in Hue to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of renowned cultural luminary Dang Huy Tru. The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, in collaboration with the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City, held a seminar titled "Commemorating the 200th Birth Anniversary of Cultural Luminary and Founder of Vietnamese Photography Dang Huy Tru ."

On May 22nd, during his working visit to Vietnam, Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, Lazare Eloundou Assomo, toured several heritage sites in Hue including the Imperial Citadel, the Museum of Royal Antiquities, and An Dinh Palace to conduct a field survey and learn about the management, conservation and promotion of World Cultural Heritage values ​​in the locality.

On the morning of May 22, the United States Embassy in Vietnam, in collaboration with Phu Xuan University, organized an information session on “Studying abroad in the United States” at the Keiser University Vietnam (KUV), Hue Center.

On May 19, the ceremony of signing sponsorship between the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2025 and Carlsberg Vietnam was held at Hue City People’s Committee. On the morning of May 12 (the 15th of the lunar April month), the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of Hue City solemnly held the Grand Vesak Celebration 2569 at Tu Dam Pagoda (Truong An Ward, Thuan Hoa District), with the presence of a large number of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers.
