On the afternoon of September 8, Hue Central Hospital held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Vu Quynh C. (6 years old, from Bac Ninh), who had just successfully undergone an allogeneic bone marrow transplant to treat Thalassemia. This was the hospital’s 11th Thalassemia bone marrow transplant, and notably the first case in Vietnam using marrow donated by the patient’s biological mother.

A kite originating from Hue, which has been preserved for nearly 60 years in a museum in the United States, was discovered by a Vietnamese restoration expert. Through numerous accompanying documents, together with a passion for cultural roots, that expert “told the story” about how the kite was ordered in Hue Ancient Capital, then taken all the way to the U.S., and became an artistic artifact, etc….
