In the joyful atmosphere, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 35th Traditional Boat Racing Competition of Thua Thien Hue province on the morning of September 2, with the participation of 9 units from wards and communes of 9 districts, towns and Hue City.

The finale of the 24th season of "Road to Mount Olympia" will take place on the morning of October 13th. The live broadcast location in Thua Thien Hue will be organized at Ngo Mon Square.

That was the theme of the exhibition held on the morning of August 30 by the Department of Culture and Sports at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue (No.7 Le Loi St., Hue City).

In mid-August 2024, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism organized the 2024 Creative Camp for 15 artists from Thua Thien Hue at the Nha Trang Art Creation House.

On the morning of August 31st, at Duyet Thi Duong Royal Theater (Hue Imperial Citadel), the “Rencontres du Vietnam” (Meeting Vietnam) organization granted Vallet scholarships to students with high academic achievements in Thua Thien Hue Province. “The fact that “Knowledge of Tailoring and Wearing Hue Ao Dai” having just been enlisted as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage not only is an honor and pride, but at the same time, affirms that Hue Ao Dai always carries the traditional cultural values of the nation and has a strong vitality throughout history,” emphasized Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Member of the National Cultural Heritage Council, Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports when sharing the story about the new recognition of it with Thua Thien Hue Weekly.

On the evening of August 26, at the Provincial Labor Cultural House, the Alliance of Arts and Literature Association of Thua Thien Hue held a performance and recorded the dance and poetry program “Ganh hang rong xu Hue” (Street Vendors of Hue).

The International Dance Festival 2024 is being organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in collaboration with the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, from August 17 to 22 at the Thua Thien Hue Cultural and Cinematic Center (41A Hung Vuong Street, Hue City).

On August 17th, the Provincial Dental Hospital, in coordination with Operation Smile Vietnam, conducted screening exams for children with abnormalities. This activity is part of the annual Operation Smile surgery program held in Thua Thien Hue.

More than 500 artists and performers from 17 art units representing 9 countries gathered at the International Dance Festival 2024, which opened on the evening of August 17 at the Thua Thien Hue Cultural and Cinematic Center (41A Hung Vuong, Hue City).
