The 2026 National Short Course (25m pool) Swimming and Finswimming Championships officially kicked off on the morning of April 5th at Hue City Sports Center (2 Le Quy Don) in Hue, featuring many outstanding swimmers such as Nguyen Huy Hoang, Vo Thi My Tien, Thuy Hien, Pham Thanh Bao, and Nguyen Quoc, … the tournament promises intense, high-level competition with the potential for multiple new national records.

On the morning of March 29th, Thanh Thuy Ward held the opening ceremony of its 1st Physical Training and Sports Festival for the 2025–2026 period.

On the morning of February 13, the 2026 Traditional Fishing Boat Racing, organized by Thanh Thuy Ward, took place on the Nhu Y River (at Thanh Thuy Tiled-Roof Bridge Community Tourism Site).

On February 13, the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Thanh Thuy Ward organized an art performance titled “Celebrating the Party, the Spring, and the Success of the 14th National Party Congress”, and the “Tet in the countryside of the Tiled-roof Bridge” program at the Thanh Toan Tiled-roof Bridge community tourism site.

On the afternoon of January 29, as part of the contest “I Love My Homeland’s Seas and Islands” for the 2025-2026 academic year, the City Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and Mass Mobilization, in coordination with the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, organized a working delegation to visit and present Tet gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in My Thuong, Phu Ho, and Thanh Thuy wards and communes.

The chrysanthemum fields grown for the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse in Thanh Thuy Ward have been devastated, leaving flower growers with heavy hearts. Everything they have cultivated over the past three months has been swept away by floodwaters.

On the evening of October 11th, Hue City Youth Union held a ceremony to honor recipients of the “Student with 5 Good Criteria”, “Student with 3 Good Criteria”, “Student with 3 Good Training Criteria” titles, and the “January Star” Award for 2025 at Hue FPT Education Complex in Thanh Thuy Ward.

After the national reunification, Thanh Thuy, Phu Bai, and Huong Thuy wards (formerly Huong Thuy Town), once purely agricultural with virtually no urban infrastructure, have undergone sweeping changes, worthy of their role as the southern growth engine of centrally governed Hue City.

“Thanh Thuy New Day - Connecting the Community” 2025 marathon, organized by Thanh Thuy Ward, took place on the morning of September 2. The activity was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

On the morning of August 30, Thuy Bieu Cooperative and Hue Specialty Co., Ltd. held a signing and handing over ceremony of Hue's thanh tra grapefruits.
