‘Countryside Market Festival’ Officially Kicks off: Rich in Rural Spirit of Thanh Thuy
HNN.VN - On the evening of June 26, the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Thuy Ward held a ceremony to kick off the “Countryside Market Festival” in response to Hue Festival 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of Thanh Thuy Ward said as part of activities marking the peak week of Hue Festival 2026, the ‘Countryside Market Festival’, taking place from June 26 to 29, aims to promote and highlight the area’s unique traditional cultural values. The program is also expected to tap into local potential in natural landscapes, historical relics, and folk festivals, thereby attracting visitors, boosting socio-economic development, and developing Thanh Thuy tourism in a sustainable direction.
The ‘Countryside Market Festival’ offers locals and visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a rustic rural space rich in cultural identity, featuring stalls displaying agri-products and specialties from local cooperatives and businesses. Visitors can also explore the Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge, experience garden houses, and eco-homestays.
The program also offers a wide range of distinctive folk cultural experiences, including demonstrations of traditional rice processing such as threshing, pounding, winnowing, and sieving; cake-making experiences under the theme ‘Old-school rice cakes of Hue’; and traditional conical hat making. The festival also features Bai Choi performances, along with many engaging folk games such as duck catching on Nhu Y River, blindfolded pig catching on land, rowing boat performances…
A highlight of the festival is its food court, featuring rustic dishes rich in the flavors of Thanh Thuy Chanh village, along with a vegetarian cuisine program, and a series of special artistic night shows. These include performances of bolero music, community arts, programs by Do Re Mi Club, and a night performance by Hue Traditional Royal Theater of Arts, offering residents and visitors a wide range of cultural experiences during Hue Festival 2026.
