With its minimalist elegance and close connection to nature, Kokedama, the Japanese art of growing plants in moss balls, has quickly captured the attention of plant enthusiasts in Hue.

After five editions, the VnExpress Marathon Hue has made tangible contributions to the city’s overall development landscape. Its sixth edition (taking place from April 17 to 19) is no exception, promising to provide a strong impetus for Hue’s strategy in developing sports, tourism and socio-economic growth.

At the final round of the 8th Students with Startup Ideas competition (SV-STARTUP 2026), held from April 17th to 19th in Hanoi, the “An Vi Porridge” project by a student team from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, won Third Prize.

Unlike the potted orchid lilies often seen in gardens, the pink trumpet tree is a tall, woody species typically planted along streets. Originating from the Americas, this flower - also known as the pink bell flower - has been widely grown in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. It usually blooms from February to June. When in full blossom, most of its leaves fall away, leaving behind clusters of soft pink and light purple flowers that create a gentle, romantic scene under the sun.

From April 17 to 19, at the Banking Academy in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), organized the 8th National Startup Day for students in 2026.
