With a period of operation for 6 years, the “Carbon Storage and Biodiversity Conservation” Project Phase 2 (CARBI 2) has successfully integrated conservation with sustainable development, aiming to preserve and restore forests in one of the world's biodiversity hotspots - the Truong Son Mountain Range between Vietnam and Laos.

On March 25, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Nguyen Van Phuong, held an official meeting with Mr. Andrew Khan, General Director of Carlsberg Vietnam.

On December 13th, Hue Industrial College (HueIC) collaborated with Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) to organize a professional workshop titled “Developing Sustainable Vocational Education: From Digital Transformation to Green Vocational Training.”

On July 20th, the provincial Red Cross Society, Oxfam in Vietnam, and the New Zealand Embassy in Hanoi organized a summary workshop for the project “Post-COVID-19 livelihood recovery for female farmers in particularly difficult and for difficult communes in Thua Thien Hue.” The event was attended by Ms. Caroline Rachel Beresford, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam.

On the morning of June 7th, at Hue Children Hall, the Biodiversity Conservation component, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam), Helvetas, and the Forest Protection Department, organized the opening ceremony of the “For the sustainable life of nature and people” exhibition. This event is part of the “Sustainable Forest management and Biodiversity conservation” (VFBC) project.
