Visitors at the Hue Singing Performance Space on Le Loi Street in Hue recently enjoyed an unexpected musical experience as the powerful rhythms of the West African Djembe blended with the familiar melodies of Hue Singing. Bringing this distinctive sound to the former imperial city was Michael Schmidt Kanté, a French musician who has spent years traveling across continents to study and perform traditional music.

On the afternoon of June 29, the Department of Science and Technology held a conference to gather feedback from experts, scientists, and relevant agencies and organizations on the draft proposal for the Hue High-Tech Park. Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang attended and delivered opening remarks to guide the discussion.

Beginning as an emotional concept, “healing” has gradually given rise to a distinct service market targeting young customers in Hue.

Moving beyond ceremonial settings and enclosed stages within heritage spaces, Hue International Music Week 2026, a highlight of Hue Festival 2026, is designed to engage the wider community through music.

As numerous strategic infrastructure projects and new development corridors gradually take shape, Hue is gaining additional room to expand its urban space and advance its maritime economy, logistics sector, and service industries.

Held under the theme “Flow of Heritage”, the first O Ly Artshow officially opened on the evening of June 6 at Hue Book and Cultural Space (23-25 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward), on the banks of the Perfume River, attracting the participation of a large number of artists and art enthusiasts.

Through makeup sessions, lessons, and opportunities to explore and feel the values of tuong firsthand, this approach is helping younger generations grow closer to cultural heritage and creating new ways to incorporate traditional culture into schools.

From May 29 to 31, the Bao Vinh pedestrian street in Hoa Chau Ward will be transformed into a vibrant community cultural space through the “Childhood Memories in the Heart of the Ancient Town” Festival - an event that combines heritage preservation, community tourism development, and in response to the Action Month for Children 2026.
