On September 15th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, in coordination with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, organized the 2026 Resident Doctors’ Day and welcomed 150 new resident doctors from 18 specialties for the 2026-2029 training program. These young doctors are beginning their journey of study, practice and research at the hospital.

From the evening of September 12th through September 14th, Hue is expected to continue experiencing heavy to very heavy rain, with some areas forecast to receive more than 250mm. The prolonged rainfall has heightened the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and along the streams, while low-lying and urban areas face an increased threat of flooding.

On September 11, the Sub-department of Irrigation and Climate Change reported that irrigation and hydropower reservoirs in the area continue to operate safely. The Department of Agriculture and Environment has prepared reservoir operation scenarios for forecast rainfall levels, ranging from 250 to 500 mm.

From August 26 to September 15, the city’s health sector is rolling out the first high-dose Vitamin A supplementation campaign of 2026 for children aged 6 to under 60 months in ethnic minority and mountainous communes. The campaign aims to provide children with essential micronutrients and help reduce malnutrition rates in these areas.

On the afternoon of September 9, in Hue City, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Department of Environment of Shizuoka City (Japan), held a technical workshop to promote carbon neutrality in Hue City in 2026.

On September 8th, Phu Xuan University organized the ‘PXUni Job Festival 2026’, connecting students and job seekers with nearly 20 businesses and offering more than 500 job opportunities across various fields.

On September 8th, Hue City Women’s Union organized the Final Round of the 2026 ‘Women Entrepreneurs - Digital Transformation Journey’ competition. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City.

On the morning of September 8, Hue University, in coordination with the College of Hue, held a reception ceremony for Lao students receiving scholarships from the City People’s Committee to begin their studies at Hue University in the 2026 - 2027 academic year.
