Following its technical operation phase in August 2025, Vietravel Group organized the Grand Opening of Hué Plaza on the morning of January 11. This event marks the point at which the project is fully completed and officially operational.

Hue City’s budget revenue is entering a phase of strong momentum, with a revenue structure becoming increasingly diversified and sustainable. On the afternoon of January 5th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party conducted inspections and on-site surveys of several key transport projects in the city, including the proposed site for projects of the bridge crossing Con Hen (Mussel Islet) and its approach roads at both ends, of Nguyen Hoang Road, and of Ring Road 3.

On the morning of January 1st, in the warm sunshine on the first morning of the new year, the area around Ngo Mon Gate of Hue Imperial Citadel became lively as the Nguyen Dynasty Ban Soc ceremony was reenacted in a theatricalized format, officially opening Hue Festival 2026. The event also marked the first festival of the year, attracting a large number of local residents and visitors.

Facing with the growing pressure of increasing household waste volumes, Hue is confronted with the need to renew its approach to urban waste management. In the context of the circular economy becoming an inevitable trend for modern cities, to reuse is not only an environmental action but also a strategy for sustainable development.

On December 24, the National Excellent Student Selection Examination for the academic year 2025 - 2026 officially opened at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

On December 23, at Hue City Police, Emulation Group No. 2 of the Ministry of Public Security held the opening ceremony for a Sports Festival celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Staff Force Traditional Day (April 18, 1946 - April 18, 2026).

Hue’s transportation and urban infrastructure have undergone significant changes in recent times, with a series of large-scale key projects being invested in and implemented, opening up new connectivity spaces for the city.
