On the afternoon of November 4th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, together with the Standing Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, received a donation of 1 billion VND from Cotana Group to support post-flood recovery efforts. ​

A section of Hue Imperial Citadel wall collapsed after days of heavy rain and flooding. The fallen section, about 15 meters long, is located on the northern side of Hue Imperial City, next to the park along Dang Thai Than Street (Phu Xuan Ward).

On the morning of November 3, 1,135 households with 3,121 people from 32 communes and wards were relocated to safe areas by the local authorities and functional agencies.

In recent days, the water plants of Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) have been supplying between 220,000 and 250,000 cubic meters to the water network, about 20% higher than on normal days.

On the morning of November 3, a working delegation from Hue City People's Committee, led by Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, conducted a field inspection at some landslide and vulnerable areas in (formerly) Nam Dong District.

On the morning of November 2, General Secretary To Lam visited Hue and traveled to Quang Dien District to meet, encourage, and give gifts to households affected by recent flooding.

On the afternoon of November 2, a working delegation from the Ministry of Health, led by Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen, Standing Deputy Head of the Civil Defense Steering Committee of the Ministry of Health, visited and worked with Hue Central Hospital to inspect the hospital’s efforts in responding and overcoming the aftermath of the floods.

In the mountainous commune of Khe Tre - newly born from the merger of Khe Tre Town and the communes of Huong Phu, Huong Loc, and Thuong Lo - a night concert titled “Ngan Ngo” (A Thousand Reveries) unfolded amid forest breezes, lights, and melodies. With no tickets and no grand stage, the night concert still etched itself in the memory of everyone who attended.

On the afternoon of November 1st, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee; and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, received flood relief support from Khanh Hoa Province, led by Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

The recent floods caused severe damage not only in lowland areas but also in mountainous regions. Local authorities are making every effort to repair infrastructure and supply food and clean water to isolated communities.
