In Hue, comic books are not just a childhood pastime; they have gradually taken shape as a distinct cultural feature, preserved by a quiet yet steadfast community of comic lovers.

By securing a place in the Quarterly Round of Road to Mount Olympia Season 26, Hoang Anh Minh, a student of Class 11/4 at Nguyen Hue High School (Hue City), not only brought pride to his school but also spread the spirit of academic excellence of Hue students on the national intellectual stage.

In Hue, the traditional Lunar New Year “Tet” does not arrive with fanfare. The Cooperative Fair, held by the City Cooperative Alliance over two days, January 17 -18, at the Cooperative Economy Platform (16 Nguyen Luong Bang, Thuan Hoa Ward), was not only a shopping destination, but also a vital bridge bringing clean agricultural produce, OCOP products, and local specialties closer to consumers, contributing to spreading the value of the collective economy and building trust in local agricultural products.

Ngoc Linh ginseng is an endemic medicinal plant species with exceptional medical and economic value. However, the natural distribution area of this ginseng species is currently minimal, while the demand for conservation, development, and sustainable exploitation continues to grow. Research into transplanting Ngoc Linh ginseng to ecologically similar regions, such as Hue, is not only a scientific necessity but also opens opportunities to expand the conservation space and develop this precious medicinal plant.

In 2026, Hue City Museum of History aims to conduct surveys, research and upgrade 2 dossiers for nomination as special national relics, and prepare 8 new dossiers to request recognition as city-level relics.

On the afternoon of January 8, a delegation from the Salavan Provincial People’s Council, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, led by Mr. Siheang Homsombat, Head of the National Assembly Delegation for Constituency No. 14, and Chairman of the Salavan Provincial People's Council, visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings for the Year of the Horse to Hue City.

By December 2026, the city will complete land clearance, handing over 100% of clean site area for construction of the North–South high-speed railway project, in compliance with Government requirements.
