At the specialized session on “Green and Sustainable Tourism Development” held on the morning of June 6th within the framework of the 14th East Asian Local Government and Regional Conference, Hue affirmed its pioneering position in the region regarding the development orientation of environmentally-friendly tourism that harmonizes with communities and preserves heritage.

Hue is asserting its pioneering role in preserving and promoting heritage values, from tangible treasures to intangible performance spaces. A journey of “preservation for revival” with long-term vision, modern technology, and initiatives close to young people.

On the 10-acre field of red chiem rice (a traditional red rice grown in brackish lowlands of Hue City, sown by April and harvested by July), each planting season requires 40 to 50 hired laborers, and the harvest stretches over several days. Left untended and unfertilized, the rice grows naturally under the generous sun and rain. Some call it “heaven’s rice” — a variety grown from the grace of Tam Giang’s waters.

At the beginning of summer, on beaches and other spacious tourist spots, it’s easy to witness many groups of visitors join in team building games.

Let’s Hue - Local Buddies is a project founded by foreign language-loving students from member universities of Hue University. Its goal is to introduce and promote the cultural image of Hue Ancient Capital to international friends.

On the afternoon of May 21, the leader of Phu Bai International Airport announced that Terminal T2 at Phu Bai International Airport in Hue City was honored with the Gold Award in the category of “Special Architectural Works”. It also received the “For the Development of Architecture” award at the 2024 - 2025 National Architecture Awards ceremony held on the evening of May 20 in Hanoi.
