In a late summer afternoon, I climbed up the slope in the western hilly area of Hue to visit an artist.

Marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Musée Khai Dinh - Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities (August 24, 1923 - August 24, 2023), on the afternoon of August 24th, Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities in collaboration with the National Museum of History organized an exhibition at Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, showcasing the treasures of Emperor Khai Dinh - the one who contributed to the "birth" of the museum. In attendance was Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary Phan Ngoc Tho.

The celebration ceremony was organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center on the morning of August 24 at Duyet Thi Duong Theater, in Hue Imperial Citadel.

Hue City aims to establish a smart tourism information infrastructure which is compatible with smart devices, contributing to ensuring a consistent management system and the utilization of cultural and tourism information among local organizations. This is the objective of the project to build a smart cultural and tourism Hue city, sponsored by KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam).

That the preservation warehouse and the display system are all reused from the renovated old building, so it is not suitable for the museum's function, and although the equipment has been invested, it still does not meet the requirements of preserving artifacts. Those are the situation that Hue Fine Arts Museum - a public museum established nearly 5 years ago, is facing. The concern for the safety of the artifacts and the desire to have a well-preserved warehouse are always the concerns of the unit's leaders.

Despite offering many advantages regarding resources, deep-water ports, labors, etc., Thua Thien Hue cannot reach the top 10 provinces and cities with the largest foreign investment capital (FDI) within the country.

It is the soothing feeling of many visitors after experiencing Hue culture, with quiet citadels and temples, green nature, gentle Perfume River, as well as friendly and close people.

While Hue Imperial City and the mausoleums of the Nguyen emperors are remnants of a far-off dynasty, the old quarters of Bao Vinh and Gia Hoi are the unfaded imprints of inhabitants’ life of the ancient capital.

The 4th marathon “Hue Jogging – Run for the Community” 2023 held by Hue City Youth Union opening on the morning of August 20 at Ngo Mon Gate attracted the participation of over 13.500 runners.
