On the morning of September 20th, the University of Economics, Hue University held the opening ceremony for the 2026-2030 course and welcomed more than 2,800 freshmen of the 60th cohort (K60). With these new students, the university now has more than 15,000 full-time students.

On the morning of September 20th, Hue City Federation of Labor organized a program to provide support for disadvantaged union members, workers and children of union members at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, combined with Mid-Autumn Festival activities for the children. The 2026 Hue Unicorn Dance Festival officially opened on the morning of September 20 at the Sports Hall at 100 Pham Van Dong St. The event is part of the Autumn Festival activities under the Hue Festival 2026 program and is jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee.

On the afternoon of September 19, Hue City People’s Committee held a meeting to review the organization of Hue Heritage and International Music Festival - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026. Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang chaired the meeting. The meeting was also attended by representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units.

Since 1998, 32 artifacts or sets of artifacts have been returned to Hue from abroad, but only one of them was acquired through an auction. The other 31 were brought back through appeals for donations and connections with owners.

On September 18, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Vice Rector of the University of Education, Hue University, received and held a working session with a delegation from the University of Innsbruck (Austria) to discuss directions for cooperation in training, scientific research, and academic exchange.

Amid rapid technological change, entrepreneurship education at universities needs to create an environment where students can develop creative thinking, problem-solving capacity, and the ability to apply knowledge in practice. This was also the focus of discussions among experts, managers, lecturers, and businesses at the workshop ‘Innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education’, organized by Hue University on the afternoon of September 18.

On the morning of September 18th, Hue City Department of Science and Technology held a council meeting to evaluate and consider commissioning a state-funded science and technology task on developing a real-time system to control and simulate flood propagation and provide smart warnings, serving disaster management and response across the city.

On the afternoon of September 18, Hue Tourism College held a conference on business cooperation to improve training quality. The event was attended by representatives from management agencies, professional associations, and businesses operating in the tourism and services sectors.
