On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

With advantages in scenery, cultural heritage, and the ancient, tranquil beauty of temples, palaces, relics, and architecture, Hue is becoming a destination of choice for filmmakers. This also presents an opportunity for cinema to expand Hue's tourism reach.

From May to early September each year is considered the low season for international tourists. However, Vietnam's tourism industry in general and Thua Thien Hue in particular are implementing various strategies to attract foreign tourists, especially from target markets.

On the morning of July 15th, Hue Tourism College, in collaboration with IKIGAI International Soft Skills Training Center, organized the career orientation program “Understanding yourself, Understanding your career” to help students make solid steps when choosing vocational education at the intermediate level.

On July 10th, Thua Thien Hue Tourism Association, in collaboration with USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC), organized a workshop and cooking contest featuring American chicken dishes.

On the evening of July 5th, the Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of Hue Lotus Festival 2024 with the theme “Returning to the land of the Royal Lotus” at Tu Tuong Park, Hue City.

In an effort to stimulate tourism and create a vibrant atmosphere to attract locals and visitors to the Imperial City Night Street, the People's Committee of Hue City has directed relevant agencies to organize community cultural and artistic activities on the evenings of June 21 and 22.

Three provinces and cities of Vietnam, including Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam, have recently coordinated organizing a tourism introduction program for Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam in Taipei city, Taiwan (China) on June 21.

Talking about Hue cuisine, tourists always give compliments, a special highlight of which is Hue vegetarian cuisine. Tapping the value of vegetarian cuisine for tourism is partly an opening to promote tourism and partly a contribution to preserving and promoting the value of Hue vegetarian cuisine.

Not only popular in Europe and North America, caravan tourism is also becoming gradually popular in Vietnam as more and more people own their own vehicles, who are passionate about travel and want to experience driving on new routes. Hue has the potential to develop this attractive type of tourism, but finding the effective exploitation direction is needed.
