On the morning of February 3, Hue College of Tourism (under the management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held the “Spring of Love” Festival 2026.

The “Restructuring the Tourism Sector to Meet the Requirements of Becoming a Key Economic Sector” plan, approved under Decision No. 1685/QD-TTg dated December 5th, 2018 by the Prime Minister, has established an important policy framework for the comprehensive renewal of the tourism sector. On the afternoon of January 15, the City’s Sports Training and Competition Center held a review and commendation ceremony honoring coaches and athletes who were awarded prestigious State titles and achieved outstanding results at the 33rd SEA Games.

The 2025 Hue Universities and Colleges Table Tennis Tournament officially opened on the evening of January 5 at the Gymnasium of the Faculty of Physical Education, Hue University. The tournament is a traditional sporting event jointly organized by Hue University and Professional Sports Association, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

Thousands of visitors and residents of Hue came together to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the New Year 2026 in exquisite weather, heaven and earth in harmony, clear skies with a slight winter chill. The Countdown program welcoming 2026, held at Hue City Cultural and Sports Square (Vy Da Ward), was regarded as the highlight of this meaningful moment, a venue where a grand musical feast and joyful reunions converged.

The 10th National Sports Games are scheduled for November 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Dong Thap. Hue sports teams are expected to compete in 16 disciplines, including football, swimming and diving, archery, badminton, chess, Chinese chess, sepak takraw, shuttlecock kicking, and athletics.

On December 29, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Scientific Council for the appraisal of the Master Plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Complex of Hue Monuments to 2030, with a vision to 2050 met, discussed, and reached a consensus to approve this significant planning content.

Such is one of the key tasks set by the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City for 2026.

In the early mornings, the southern part of Hue City begins with a familiar rhythm: the sound of runners’ footsteps along the coastal road, the crisp tap of shuttlecocks in a commune’s small badminton court, and the cheerful laughter of people practicing wellness fitness exercises. This sporting atmosphere has become an integral part of daily life, helping residents improve their health, strengthen community bonds, and nurture an optimistic spirit.
