On the morning of March 9th, the Hue City Employment Service Center officially launched the Employment Month 2026 program with the theme “Spring Job Connection”. It attracted the participation of many businesses both within and outside the city, creating opportunities for direct connections between companies and job seekers during the first months of the year.

The petanque competition of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival officially opened on the morning of March 7th at Hue City Sports Center. Notably, the tournament features the participation of many athletes aged 70 and above.

On the afternoon of March 6, Hue Tourism College (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) held a conference on career guidance and enrollment for 2026. From the “bottlenecks” in project management and business operations to a drive for innovation, young businessman Dang Phuoc Toan and his partners have developed and grown CheckNow - a real-time data management platform, emerging as a new hallmark of Hue’s young businessman community on its digital transformation journey.

In the National Excellent Student Examination for the 2025-2026 academic year, Hue City won four First Prizes. Notably, Geography recorded its first-ever First Prize winner, while French returned to the highest podium position after many years, earning two First Prizes. These results reflect the sustained efforts of students from Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, further enriching Hue’s distinguished educational record.

No one has captured the Vietnamese sense of living away from one’s homeland better than poet Nguyen Khoa Diem when he wrote: “They carry the names of their communes and villages on every migration journey.” In the highland city on the Lang Biang Plateau, this sentiment holds true as well. Many people from Hue left their ancestral land to settle here nearly a century ago. Though four or five generations have now been born on this new land, the “Hue spirit” in these distant Hue communities has never faded.

On the Lantern Festival (the Full Moon of the First Lunar Month) more than 15 years ago, the most “pure Hue native” friend I know, architect Nguyen Trong Huan, and I put on thin raincoats and walked together through the light, drifting drizzle to search for Hue’s culinary specialties. Having lived in this city for many years, Huan still longed for the flavors he once tasted.

Loving heritage culture and having traveled through many regions rich in history, Dang Duy Khoa (born 2002) from the distant Mekong Delta has truly been captivated by Hue. He then decided he had to do something for Hue through his own passion and the architectural knowledge he is pursuing.

By taking the time to examine wrestling and Quang Dien’s approaches, many highly practical lessons can be distilled, providing more solutions to help Hue’s sports advance further and soar higher.
