However, cyclos still serve primarily as a means of transportation, with little integration of diverse cultural experiences that could help create a distinctive offering for the Ancient Capital’s tourism.

On the morning of July 22nd, Hue City Red Cross Society held a working session with a delegation from Salavan Provincial Red Cross Society of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to exchange experience in Red Cross work and humanitarian activities.

For the first time, Bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) will be celebrated through a nationwide festival. On the afternoon of July 8th, at Co Mat Vien - Tam Toa, Hue Festival 2026 Organizing Committee officially launched the photography contest ‘Hue - Ancient Capital, New Experiences’. On the evening of July 5th, as part of Hue Ao Dai Week 2026, Hue City Garment Association organized the exhibition and interactive experience ‘The Story of Hue Ao Dai’, showcasing hundreds of distinctive ao dai designs.

On the afternoon of June 30, Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Hue International General Hospital signed a strategic cooperation agreement. On the same occasion, the hospital announced a VND 300 million sponsorship for the “Hue - Ancient Capital, New Experiences” Photography Contest, one of the activities within Hue Festival 2026.

Visitors at the Hue Singing Performance Space on Le Loi Street in Hue recently enjoyed an unexpected musical experience as the powerful rhythms of the West African Djembe blended with the familiar melodies of Hue Singing. Bringing this distinctive sound to the former imperial city was Michael Schmidt Kanté, a French musician who has spent years traveling across continents to study and perform traditional music.
