On the morning of May 31st, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the opening ceremony for its 2026 summer activities program and Hue City Children’s Festival.

On the evening of May 30th, at A Luoi 2 Commune, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports officially opened the first “Mountain Ethnic Groups Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival" 2026.

As part of the celebrations for Vesak 2570 (Buddhist Era) and Hue Festival 2026, the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026 officially opened on the afternoon of May 28th (the 12th day of the fourth lunar month) at the riverside area along the Perfume River. The event is jointly organized by the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City and the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2026.

On the morning of May 17th, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the 6th Expanded Skills Festival for clubs, teams, and groups in Hue City in 2026 at the Quoc Hoc Stele Square in Thuan Hoa Ward.

While Hue Festival was previously held biennially, creating impressive “peak” moments yet remaining largely seasonal, with the model of a four-season Festival, Hue has now chosen a more sustainable direction: Turning culture and heritage into an ever-present rhythm within the city’s daily life.

The Duong No Village Festival 2026, jointly organized by Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City and Duong No Ward People’s Committee on the occasion of the 136th Birth Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), and in response to the Summer Festival 2026, will take place from May 14 to 16.

The first “Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of Mountainous Ethnic Groups” of Hue City in 2026 is part of the “Summer Festival” program of Hue Festival 2026. It is held periodically and rotates among localities where ethnic minority communities settle and live.

On the evening of April 12, Hue College held a 2026 Traditional Bunpimay Tet Festival for over 300 Lao students currently studying and living in Hue City.

On the afternoon of March 17, Hue City People's Committee held a sponsorship contract signing ceremony for Hue Festival 2026 with Vietnam Airlines Corporation - Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Aviation Company.

On the morning of March 15, across Hue City, from urban area to suburban and remote areas, streams of people eagerly headed to polling stations to exercise their civic rights and responsibilities in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. The festival for all people also marked by vivid and heartwarming moments of solidarity and trust of voters.
