On the afternoon of May 4th, Department of Tourism reported that the total number of visitors to Hue City during the April 30th - May 1st holiday saw a sharp increase, estimated at 351.000 arrivals over the 5-day period from April 30th to May 4th.

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, Hue emerged as a popular destination. Alongside tour groups organized by travel agencies, a significant number of tourists opted for self-guided tours, renting cars or driving themselves to key attractions in the city.

On the morning of April 29, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that, through statistics on room bookings at accommodation establishments and a synthesis of related data, Hue tourism is projected to welcome approximately over 300,000 visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

From April 26 to May 2nd, the Imperial Citadel will become the center of a series of special cultural - artistic activities with the theme “The Imperial Citadel shines, the royal flowers converge”, promising to attract thousands of tourist arrivals during the April 30 - May 1st holidays.

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday period, employees will benefit from an extended five-day consecutive vacation. Forecasts predict domestic tours will attract many visitors. Local tourism authorities, travel agencies, and hotels have prepared numerous products and services, ready to welcome tourists.

On the afternoon of April 7th, a representative from the Department of Tourism reported that, according to preliminary statistics, approximately 105.000 visitors came to explore and experience tourist destinations in Hue over the four-day holiday period from April 4th to April 7th, 2025.

“Nguyen Tieu Festival” is an experiential program organized by Le Loi Primary School on February 12, aiming to educate students about traditional culture and bring an exciting atmosphere after the Lunar New Year holiday.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, during the nine-day Lunar New Year of the Snake (At Ty)holiday from January 25th to February 2nd (December 26th to the January 5th in the lunar calendar), Hue welcomed an estimated 150,300 visitors, marking a nearly 37% increase compared to the same period during the Year of the Dragon Tet holiday in 2024.

The long Lunar New Year holiday combined with the rising number of cases has kept the doctors and medical staff at Hue Central Hospital (HCH) constantly on duty without rest. The signs of spring are seen in pots of chrysanthemums and peach blossoms, but the atmosphere remains one of urgency and dedication to patient care and treatment.

According to the information announced on the night of January 31 by the Department of Tourism, in the 7-day period from January 25 to 31, 2025 (from the December 26 of the lunar Year of Giap Thin to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year of At Ty), the number of tourists coming to Hue was estimated over 118,600 arrivals, witnessing an increase of 35% to the same period last year.
