Along with innovations in investment promotion activities, the government’s support in promoting projects acts like a “magnet” attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises to Thua Thien Hue (now known as Hue City) (*).

The year 2024 marks a series of significant milestones in the Ancient Capital. 2024 is a significant year in the process of developing Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed municipality according to Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo. On November 30, 2024, the National Assembly passed the Resolution to establish Hue City under the Central Government from January 1, 2025, and the Resolution on the restructuring of district and commune-level administrative units of Hue City, in the 2023 - 2025 period. Hue City (under Thua Thien Hue Province) will be divided into two districts: Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa.
