The application of artificial intelligence (AI) not only brings technological convenience, but also opens up a completely different method of teaching and learning, marking an important turning point for Hue’s education sector on its digital transformation journey.

During his visit to Hue in early November 2025, General Secretary To Lam conveyed a message to the city’s Party Committee, authorities, and people: Hue must preserve its cultural identity and the distinctive character of Hue people amid a new phase of development. That reminder was not merely an expectation, but a guiding orientation for the entire term.

At the heart of the Imperial City of Hue, the 180-year-old Co Mat Vien (Supreme council for military and major state affairs of the Nguyen Dynasty) is gradually being revitalized in a new guise. On the evening of December 27th, at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Guitar Club of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University organized “CUON” music show, attracting the attention of a large number of students and music enthusiasts.

During a career orientation session at Byron Nelson High School in Texas, USA, my daughter and I had the opportunity to experience an exceptionally well-organized Culinary Arts vocational training model. In the U.S. education system, students are guided toward basic career paths as soon as they enter middle school, preparing them for vocational training in high school if they choose not to pursue a university pathway.

On the afternoon of November 15, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) held an online training session on developing digital competence (DC) for high school students, in accordance with Circular 02/2025/TT-BGDDT and other directives guiding the implementation of the Ministry of Education and Training’s Digital Competence Framework. ​

On October 3, the Department of Education and Training organized a training conference to enhance professional capacity to meet the demands of educational innovation; and provide guidance on early detection, early intervention, and inclusive education for preschool administrators and teachers in the city.

To ensure good preparation for the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2025 - 2026, linked to the 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Traditional Day of Education sector, held online nationwide on the morning of September 5, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) established inspection teams on September 4. These teams were tasked with assessing the preparation and guiding the organization of the new academic year's opening ceremony at educational institutions across the city.
