Hue is a heritage city, but Hue’s cultural strength does not lie solely in its citadel, palaces, royal tombs, or historic architecture. Behind these tangible forms of heritage lies a vibrant world of music, festivals, beliefs, traditional crafts, cuisine, clothing, and folk knowledge. This is the ‘soul’ that gives Hue its distinctive identity.

The 2026 National Archery Championships kicked off on the morning of August 24th at Tu Do Stadium. The tournament is part of Hue Sports Festival 2026, jointly organised by Hue City Department of Culture and Sports and Vietnam Sports Authority.

The exhibition, through the language of photography, aims to strengthen Hue City's cultural diplomacy and expand cooperation with diplomatic missions of ASEAN countries in Vietnam. It will also help promote Hue as a heritage city and a distinctive Festival City of Vietnam, as well as an attractive cultural and tourism destination in the Central region. ​

Taking place from August 22 to 26 at Ba Cong artificial turf field, the Hue City 7-a-side Football Tournament - Huda Cup 2026 is organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Leano Group Tourism Media Co., Ltd. The tournament is one of the 19 activities within the Hue Sports Festival 2026.

By hosting the Hue Heritage and International Music Festival 2026 - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026, which is scheduled from August 30 to September 1, alongside the National Day Holiday on September 2, Hue City is expected to witness a surge in tourist arrivals. This may lead to a local ‘fully booked’ situation at certain peak times. Drawing from the experience of the last April 30 - May 1 holiday, the local tourism sector is developing plans to enhance its reception capacity and service quality.

A procession of boats taking part in the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) traveled one after another from downtown Hue City upstream along the Huong River toward Mount Ngoc Tran, creating a lively atmosphere on the river.

As Da Nang rises to become a premier tourism destination with increasingly diverse and distinctive experiences, cultural events, festivals and community activities play an important role in creating the city’s unique appeal. The 2026 Hue City Open Pickleball Tournament for the Uyen Phuong Cup opened on the morning of August 8 at Uyen Phuong Pickleball courts at No. 150 Nguyen Trai St. The event is part of Hue Sports Festival 2026, jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports and Uyen Phuong Sports JSC. Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.

The second Sline Tennis Forum Tennis Tournament for the Sline Cup 2026 opened on the afternoon of August 6 at the Sline Tennis Center courts (Street No. 7, An Cuu City). The event is part of the Hue Sports Festival 2026 series, co-organized by the Sline Tennis Forum and the Vinh Infinity Tennis Forum.
