As the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced, on November 18th, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director General of the Department of Cultural Heritage, together with representatives from Ministry of Public Security (Vietnam), the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, and UNESCO, witnessed the transfer ceremony of the ‘Emperor’s Treasure’ golden seal to Vietnam on the afternoon of November 16th at the Vietnamese Embassy in France.

Thua Thien Hue boasts nearly 1,300 culinary dishes, ranging from royal delicacies to everyday local food. To preserve these characteristic Hue dishes and promote the local food culture both nationally and internationally, the implementation of 3D digitization is necessary.

On the evening of November 7th, the Vietnamese Cuisine Culture Association held a ceremony to announce and present certificates for the outstanding culinary dishes of Thua Thien Hue province in phase I – 2022, and launched the nomination voting for the second phase in 2023 of the “Journey to discover the typical cultural value of Vietnam’s cuisine”, and awarding membership certificates to the Culinary Culture Association of Thua Thien Hue.

The two sides will coordinate to organize festival activities, cultural exchanges, sports, art performances, displays and exhibitions to celebrate major holidays and important events in the two localities, thereby promoting the culture and images of theirs.

Journeys in Hue (JiH) is a group of young enthusiasts dedicated to promoting Hue through social media, viewing it “through the lens of Hue people”. In an interview with Thua Thien Hue Weekly, Le Duc Hoang, the group's representative, stated, “JiH always cherishes the desire to contribute its small part to the development of Hue tourism.”

In the current conditions of the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon, folk culture is an important resource to transform into unique and identifiable tourism products, with the following elements: village landscape, production culture and beliefs, festivals associated with folk performing arts.

Struggling to make a living, but members of the Folk Arts Club of Trung Son commune (A Luoi) still strive to practice and refine each performance before each show, with enthusiasm to contribute to preserving the soul of culture of the great jungle.

Hue City is selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as one of seven cities implementing the "Creative Cities Network Development Project", within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). According to experts, this is both opportunity and challenge.

These are 6 of 121 Vietnamese culinary dishes that have just been honored by the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association (VCCA) as typical national dishes in phase I of a project titled "Building and Developing Vietnamese Culinary Culture into a National Brand Name”. All of these 6 dishes, including: Hue beef noodle soup, glutinous rice dumplings stuffed with roasted pork in sweet soup, mussel rice, banh loc (glutinous rice dumplings), vegetarian fig salad, and lotus-leaf-wrapped steamed rice; all are close to the gardens and paddy fields of the land.

On the morning of October 12, the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations organized a workshop themed "Promoting the values of folk culture in the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon area in tourism development".
