On the morning of June 1, the Department of Education and Training officially opened the 2026 Traditional Swimming Tournament for General Education Students of the city.

From May 18 to 20, at the City Stadium, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, organized the Athletics Championship for general education students in the city in 2026. The event took place on the occasion of the 136th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), contributing to promoting physical training movements, improving health, and enhancing the quality of comprehensive education for students across the city.

At the 2026 Beach Wrestling World Championships held from May 9th - 10th at My Khe Beach in Da Nang, two athletes from Hue wrestling team contributed two bronze medals to Vietnam wrestling’s overall success.

The National 3x3 Basketball Championship for Strong Teams and U20 2026 officially opened on the evening of May 10 at Aeon Mall Hue Shopping Center.

The National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Club Championship 2026 officially opened on the morning of May 2 at the Square opposite Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted. On this occasion, outstanding athletes and coaches were awarded prestigious honors by the State.

On the morning of April 19, Hue University held the opening ceremony for the 6th Sports Festival 2026.

On April 5, the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward officially opened the 1st Sports Festival for the 2025-2026 period. The event drew strong participation from a wide range of groups, including residential quarters, schools, and armed forces units, with the partaking of outstanding athletes who have achieved notable results at both city and national levels.

On the morning of March 29th, Thanh Thuy Ward held the opening ceremony of its 1st Physical Training and Sports Festival for the 2025–2026 period.

On the morning of March 24, the Hue City Police officially opened the 9th “For National Security” Sports Festival 2026.

Securing a total of 747 medals of all kinds in 2025, including 76 international medals; having numerous coaches and athletes honored with prestigious titles; and leaving notable marks at the 33rd SEA Games and on the continental stage… have, to some extent, confirmed both the foundation and the prospects for a breakthrough in Hue’s high-performance sports in general, and the City Sports Training and Competition Center (the Center) in particular.
