On the afternoon of January 15, the City’s Sports Training and Competition Center held a review and commendation ceremony honoring coaches and athletes who were awarded prestigious State titles and achieved outstanding results at the 33rd SEA Games.

On the morning of January 4, Hue City Youth Center organized the 3rd Hue City Open Youth Chess Tournament - 2026.

On the afternoon of December 18, Hue wrestling shone brightly after securing a hat-trick of 3 gold medals in the women’s freestyle events, marking a remarkable feat not only at the SEA Games arena.

The Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament of the 10th City Sports Festival 2025 - 2026 kicked off on the morning of December 6 at the Canh buom Gymnasium (100 Pham Van Dong - Vy Da Ward), attracting a large number of athletes and spectators to compete and cheer.

“Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism) has just issued a decision to establish Vietnam Sports Delegation for SEA Games 33, in which Hue sports contributes 1 coach and 7 athletes,” said Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports on the afternoon of November 28th. ​

The Shuttlecock Kicking Tournament of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival (2025–2026) opened on the morning of October 15 at Canh Buom Sport Hall (100 Pham Van Dong Street), bringing together 51 athletes from Hue University, Binh Dien Commune, Phu Xuan Ward, and Phu Bai Ward to compete.

To date, Hue Sports has essentially finalized the athletes who will join the Vietnamese delegation at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand later this year, amid hopes for the most successful Games yet.

On the morning of September 21st, the Association for people with Disabilities - Support for people with Disabilities and Orphans (ADSDO) held a ceremony to award coaches and athletes who achieved outstanding results at the 2025 National Championships for Athletes with Disabilities.

The 2025 National Sports Championship for the Disabled were held from September 7 to 14 in Ho Chi Minh City. All athletes from Hue City won medals at the event.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the success of the first Phong Phu Ward Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the Phong Phu Ward People's Committee organized the first “Run for the Community” race in 2025 on the morning of August 31, with the theme “Phong Phu - Steps of aspiration”.
