On February 22, Hue City Police reported that they had promptly returned a lost handbag containing important documents and valuable property to a foreign tourist at Phu Bai International Airport.

Efforts to attract international tourists via direct air routes to and from Phu Bai International Airport have long been on the agenda, yet significant obstacles remain. On the evening of July 29, at Phu Bai International Airport, teachers and students of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted warmly welcomed Bui Hoang Dai Duong, a 12th-grade Biology-major class, who had just returned after winning a Silver Medal at the 2025 International Biology Olympiad (IBO) held in the Philippines.

On the morning of July 9th, Vietnam Airlines, in collaboration with Hue City People's Committee and Phu Bai International Airport, held a special ceremony to welcome a milestone flight in celebration of the 65th anniversary of Vietnam's tourism sector. The event also aims to respond to the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 and honored the airline’s 350 millionth passenger.
