In the mid-20th century, the establishment of multiple music publishing houses positioned Hue as a vital hub of Vietnamese music. As the former imperial capital, the city was both a magnet for prominent composers and a pioneering cradle that shaped the professional contours of Vietnam’s modern and traditional music through its distinguished publishing system.

From February 7th to March 8th, 2026 (from the 20th day of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Snake to the 20th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Horse), all bus terminals in Hue City enter their peak period to meet the surge in travel demand during the Lunar New Year (Tet).

As Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) approaches, many teachers in flood-stricken areas are still busy battling natural disasters. On the morning of November 21st, at the Nguyen Dynasty’s Privy Council, or Co Mat Vien (Tam Toa), Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in collaboration with the University of Arts - Hue University, held the opening of a series of exhibitions and displays in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23rd).

On the morning of November 18th, a working delegation from the Central Youth Union, led by Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, visited Hue City to congratulate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) and to give gifts to children and youth affected by the flood in Hue City.

On the morning of October 2nd, at Hue Central Hospital, H.T.N. (45 years old, Thuy Xuan, Hue City) was officially discharged in stable health after nearly three weeks recovering from a remarkable cross-Vietnam heart transplant. This was the 20th successful heart transplant carried out at Hue Central Hospital, marking another important milestone in Vietnam’s field of cardiac surgery and organ transplantation.
