On the August 8, the Tourism Department coordinated with Asia Management and Development Institute to hold the technology consulting workshop “The draft ecotourism strategy in Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue provinces”.

The purposes of this activity are to build strategies, development plans for regional ecotourism and pilot ecotourism models in the Central area of Truong Son Mountain Range; especially focusing on the reserves, the buffet zone of the reserves and the biodiversity conservation corridors. This activity also aims to develop the model of community – based tourism, thereby, improving people’s livelihoods through the development of community – based tourism which is incident to ecology. This is also seemed as a solution to stably improve living standards of localities of Quang Nam and Hue provinces in the area of Truong Son Mountains.
